Review of Cryan' Shames, Bachman, Bucks, NC6.....

[SAT-I need more room!!]

Well this weekend was our local town fest! Thought I'd give a mini review!

Friday night was the Journey (and other arena rockers) tribute band. I've seen them many times before and they were as average as ever. LOL!

Saturday at 5pm was Dawn Patrol. Obviously, a Night Ranger tribute band. Only thing, they only played two Night Ranger songs! LOL! They played many of the same songs as Infinity, but BETTER!

They next act was the Buckinghams which I've seen umpteen times. But they really put on a good show. And they not only did the usual biggies, but included Back in Love Again! Opened with it as a matter of fact. They also had a 3 piece horn section which really added to the show. Their encore was a mostly Sly Stone medley.

They final act of the night was Randy Bachman. He really lost weight! He did a nice job and even included Guess Who stuff!

On Sunday was the Cryan' Shames with that local DJ I mention so much on vocals. They put on a fun show doing hits and many album cuts I love!

The final act was the New Colony Six IN full uniform! Unfortunately, rain POURED down about 6 songs in. So while we heard some GREAT ones, they didn't get to their 2 biggies.

Adam did the keyboard player in Randy's band sing American Woman? I thought he did a great job myself.

Yes Randy has lost alot of weight. Would have loved to have heard that medley.


I included many of those Cryan Shames tunes on the CD I made awhile back .

I love Cobblestone Road what an excellent tune! Unfortunately both times I tried to download it I only got half the song! grrrrr

HMMM.. A Night Ranger tribute band that did only 2 Night Ranger songs? That's ODD.. Kinda like in '97 when a group called "The Marcells" opened for the Four Tops, and they DIDN'T play "Blue Moon", yet they did "Takin' Care Of Buisness".. That just ain't right!

Would have REALLY liked to catch the Bachman set!

Glad to hear you all had fun! The Randy Bachman set sounds great - hopefully I can catch one of his shows sometime. That's cool that the Cryan' Shames did Pretzel Logic - one of my favorite Steely tunes.

Doesn't sound too bad, Adam. Buckinghams, NC6, Randy Bachman and the Cryan Shames in one weekend is not too shabby.

What's the Journey Tribute band called? -- or IS that their name?

-and what happened when it started to rain. Did the NC6 just get off stage and go for cover?

You know, by the time they did American Woman, I wasn't watching just listening, so I'm not too sure.

If you ever come across "Sugar & Spice:A Collection" pick it up! EVERY track is awesome, then you'll have the whole Cobblestone Road!

Sounds like a really cool show! I've always wanted to go to a rock fest like that, but there's never anything close to here. And if there is, it's crap I don't want to see! LOL!

I've seen the collection online but I don't think I've seen it locally in the store . I'll have to keep an eye out for it. That would be great
