As many of you know I went and saw the guys on Saturday night with my cousin. and the show was absoulutely fantastic - it was worth every penny.
There was a 4th show added a couple of weeks ago for
tonight and a few tix are still available but the other three were sold out.
The crowd was really into the show singing along, clapping and dancing.
The band -Joey Curatolo (Paul), Steve Landes (John), Joe Bithorn (George) and Ralph Castelli (Ringo) were outstanding - all 4 have very strong voices - the harmonies were note perfect) and the musicianship can't be beat. After the band performed While My Guitar Gently Weeps - there was a standing ovation - Joe did the guitar solo and vocals flawlessly. There were I believe three costume changes all together. There was a screen on either side of the stage showing different still photos and film clips plus a introduction of the band by an Ed Sullivan look a like. There was alot if interaction with the guys and the audience.
One of the funny moments in the show was I believe just before Hey Jude - Joey is sitting at the piano and starts singing Who Let The Dogs Out, the other three turn and stare at him while Steve (John) walks over to him and says "What are You Doing?" Joey says "What You Don't Want Me To Sing?" and Steve says"Well that's not even a song!" LOL and Joey says "Well lets do a real song then" and starts the Hey Jude intro.
During the brief intermission at the show you could go and have a drink or buy merchandise which is what we did. They had T shirts and CD's available so I bought one of each and my cousin bought a CD.
The songs the band performed were (and these are not in order )
I Want To Hold Your Hand
This Boy
Yes It Is
I Saw Her Standing There
I've Just Seen a Face
Wait
She Loves You
It's Only Love
Birthday
Eight Days a Week
With a Little Help From My Friends
Imagine (The last song)
Something
I'm Happy Just To Dance With You
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
Magical Mystery Tour
A Day In The Life
Gary Glitter's Rock N Roll Part 2 segued into Revolution
Blackbird
Yesterday
Yellow Submarine
Can't Buy Me Love
A Hard Days Night
Get Back
Let It Be
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Come Together
Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End
