It's not too exciting actually.
If you remember last year, I mentioned a local Journey/arena rocker tribute band named Infinity where they guy sang Steve Perry, Steve Walsh, Rik Emmet all the same. Well there is another band in the area that does the same artists, called ARRA. A lot of people like them, but I think they are even worse! LOL! I think the thing is this-alcohol+30 somethings=a good time. They don't know any difference. Anyway, they are the headliners Friday. The opening act? Ides of March! What is wrong with this picture?? Can't wait to hear LA Goodbye live, as well as You Wouldn't Listen to Me! (I've seen em before, but it was so long ago, I don't remember! LOL!)
On Saturday the headliners are World Class Rockers. One of the past years, there was an "all star" type of group here. It was Derek St. Holmes, Ted Nugent's sometimes singer, Don Barnes, 38 Special's guitarist and one of Billy Joel's sidemen and Ben Orr was supposed to be apart of it, but he died a few months before. Well this is the same concept, featuring "former members of Journey, Santana, Steppenwolf, Toto and Lynryrd Skynyrd!" Thing is, the former Toto member is Fergie Frederiksen, the guy who REPLACED Bobby Kimball. (He sang I'll Be Over You.) The Skynyrd guy, Randall Hall, joined in 87. (The plane went down 10 years earlier.) When I looked up the Wolfie members on allmusic.com, they were the 5th and 6th guys listed, so that makes me think they were later members. Now the good is the Santana member, Alex Ligertwood, was the guy who sang on Winning, Hold On and All I Ever Wanted! So that will be good! And the former Journey member is Anysley Dunbar, so I'm looking forward to seeing him too! Otherwise......
On Sunday, the headliner is Rob Grill from the Grass Roots. Now the last time I saw Rob, he was NOT in good form. But I don't know if he was sick, drunk, drugged up, or just sucked. I'll have to let you know!!
