Post by SAT-I need more room!! on Jul 2, 2006 1:30:39 GMT -5
Read the "lots of acts...." post first.
I left for the 8 o'clock REO show at about 6:45. I was almost there and my wife calls me to tell me that my buddy who was already there waiting for me called, and so did her sister, who was also there.
Apparently they were starting to turn people away unless you pre-bought tickets at the local grocery store! They were just starting to do this because the place was getting TOO crowded. I went anyway and found a place to park, hoping I could figure out a way to get in. I figured, I'm only one person, I could say I just got off work and I didn't know you could buy tickets ahead of time, etc. There was tons of securty at the front gate, along with too many people standing around who had gotten denied, so I didn't bother.
While I was standing, walking around, I DID hear Don't Let Him Go, Music Man, Take it On the Run & Keep Pushin'. The last one is my fave so I was happy to at least hear that. They then played 1 or 2 I didn't recognize and then went into That Ain't Love (which I don't like) so I figured I wasn't missing much. LOL!
Hopefully I'll be able to get tix for the Doobies on Monday!
