I'm so happy that I finally got the chance to see the guys in concert- they were fantastic and really loud! LOL! The crowd was really into the show up dancing and singing along. Robin Zander can sing, he still has an amazing voice after all these years. Rick Nielsen was flicking picks to the audience at warp speed, every chance he got LOL. Bun E and Tom are one of the finest rhythm sections in rock. Early in the show a little boy - about 8 years old or so wearing black and white checkered make up was asked up on stage by Rick and Rick gave him a guitar pick - the kid had a big smile on his face! Here is the setlist: * - from the new album ROCKFORD Intro: Stop This Game drone Hello There Big Eyes Oh Candy If You Want My Love Come On x3* Welcome to the World* I Know What I Want I Want You To Want Me Best Friend Ghost Town If It Takes A Lifetime* The Flame That 70's Song Surrender Encore: Dream Police Auf Wiedersehen Goodnight Now If the band is coming to your city - go! you won't regret it

Sounds like a great show, Ken! I haven't heard their new album - is it similar in sound to their older material?

Can't believe I'm finally responding to this...
Of course most Clicksters know how much I love Cheap Trick, I saw them twice myself back in the 90's.
Interesting that they brought back "The Flame" and "Ghost Town". They had dropped all that late-80's stuff from their shows for most of the 90's. When I saw them, the only post-'81 song they performed was "I Can't Take It".
Too bad they didn't do "All These Years", my favorite cut from the new CD.
Glad you had fun, Ken!
