Going to see RICK SPRINGFIELD Friday night!!!

After 26 years, I'm finally going to get to see in person the guy whose handsome face used to fill my bedroom walls and whose voice emanated from my cassette player! I wanted to catch his show back in August at the Griffith Amphitheater in Universal City, but it was on a Friday and with L.A. traffic what it is at the end of the week, it was doubtful we'd get over there in time for the show. But he's going to be at the House of Blues in Anaheim this time, which is closer.

I'm looking forward to it! Rick is still quite good looking, and though his voice doesn't quite have the power and clarity it once did, I've heard he still puts on a great show. I hope he includes Celebrate Youth in his set, one of my favorites.

i can attest to the fact that RICK does a great show. i saw him in concert in the early 80s, when he was so big as a both singer AND as DR. NOAH DRAKE on GENERAL HOSPITAL. the audience was at least 75% female (not a BAD thing) and at times you could barely hear RICK over all the screaming!...

Neat-o! I hope you had a great time. Rick Springfield was the very first concert I ever saw, waaaay back in 1983 when I was but a youngster. I once had a tour book that I (eek!) tore apart and tacked up all over my bedroom wall. Well, at least I got to enjoy it that way. I wish I still had it in one piece, though.

Rick Springfield had a string of 17 top 40 hits in the 80's! People sometimes remember him for "Jessie's Girl", but he also was a big fixture on the radio in the first half of the 80's.
