Right now, I am on a BIG Three Dog Night kick!
I have their 2 disc Celebrate set. Most people look at their single disc collection, and see it as being pretty complete. It is-has all the hits. But there is so much more!!
They do an EXCELLENT cover of Cilla Black's It's For You (written by John & Paul!!) in three part harmony.
Another great early track is Nobody.
Another one I just recently got hooked on was their cover of Elton's Lady Samantha!
If you like the Dogs, go for this 2 disc collection!!

Sounds great - I'll have to check it out! I've got that double Best of LP, but I haven't heard too many of their lesser-known hits. They really made some excellent music back in the day!

I'm in the midst of an Elton John thing right now. I fully recommend getting the Greatest Hits 2-disc set! And on an Elton side note......Has anyone heard Dave Grohl's live version of "Tiny Dancer"? He performed it on the Craig Kilborn Show and had the audience singing along too - it's sooooo awesome!! Download it if ya get the chance

You should dive into his early non-compilations too! My faves are Yellow Brick Road and Tumbleweed Connection. Now I want to get the album with Lady Samantha! No I haven't, but I love the Foos! I still want to find them doing Baker Street! I usually let other people download stuff and mail it to me! ;P

I got out of it for awhile though, and sold it! I did buy Blow Up though, so I have the Best. BTW-our Toppermost of the Poppermost was almost gonna be called Top of the Pops after the Smithereens song! BTW-The Dogs review above was with you in mind, because you had asked me how it was, and I don't think I had ever gotten back to ya!

I really like their version of Time Won't Let Me .

Does it include Freedom for the Stallion & Pieces of April from the "Seven Separate Fools" album? Those two are probably my favorite Three Dog Night non-hit songs.

I believe it's Danny and Cory , but I'm not 100% sure:) That should be a great show, Ken! I saw them perform in concert back in 1991, and they were fantastic!

Does it include Freedom for the Stallion & Pieces of April from the "Seven Separate Fools" album? Those two are probably my favorite Three Dog Night non-hit songs. It definitely has Pieces of April since that was a hit, but I don't remember Freedom for the Stallion being on it. They had so many hit, that there actually wasn't much room for album cuts! LOL!
