Even though I wasn't into "Heart" back on the 70's, I think they got their best years on the 80's. I remember that mostly every song they came out with became a hit. What a coincidence, I am listening to their CD right now. One of my favorite bands. Thanks Dawn.

Great album!! Legendary piece that really put Heart on the map.
Four of their classics are contained within. The title cut is a great little rocker. But doesn't rock quite as much as Kick it Out! This one never stops! Then of course there is the title cut, with the opening riff ripped from Zeppelin's Achillie's Last Stand. The Zeppters even called Heart "Little Led Zeppelin".
But the real winner here is Love Alive. I remember seeing this AWESOME Heart/Fleetwood Mac tribute band many times over the past several years, and they would do this one. I recognized it, so I had to have heard it at some point over the years. Our timeless rock station actually plays it now! Beautiful classic.
Good choice Dawn!

This one sure takes me back:) I remember in the late 70's sitting in our basement rec - room listening to my brother's 8 - track of this great album . I played it so much I wore it out and the tape snapped and that was it! A great mix of ballads and rockers , songs like Barracuda , Kick It Out and Love Alive still get lots of airplay on my classic rock station and that's fine with me:) Faves : Little Queen , Love Alive( I really like the 60's influence with the tablas (indian drums) , Kick It Out, Barracuda , Treat Me Well and Dream of The Archer

Hi Dawn
Yet another good choice. Heart was such a great band. Ann & Nancy Wilson will always be among my favorite female singers. This album really rocked. Barracuda, Kick It Out, and Little Queen are the familiar ones and among my favorites from this album. Have it one cassette and CD. Awesome album. Other favorites: Love Alive, Sylvan Song, Dream of the Archer, Go On Cry, Cry to Me.

Another good choice! While I don't know the album too well, I LOVE "Barracuda", as well as "Kick it out" and the title track. Being the big early Heart fan I am, I should look this up sometime.

I've always especially liked 'Never' from that era.

This was such a perfect follow-up to Dreamboat Annie. I think this album really demonstrated the band's musical versatility. 'Kick It Out' is one of their best rockers - it really cooks! And I completely agree with you about 'Love Alive'. It's beautifully written and performed, and definitely one of the standout tunes on this fine album.

You're right, Ken, there is a really nice mixture of rockers and ballads on this album. It's great that cuts like 'Love Alive' and 'Kick It Out' are getting airplay along with their single releases. Great songs!

I'd definitely recommend this album, Dave, especially if you enjoy their earlier music. 'Barracuda' has always been a favorite of mine.

I'm a big, big Heart fan, and this is one of their best albums, imo. I love Ann Wilson's voice, and Nancy can sure play that guitar! Not a weak song on this album--I love 'em all.
Saw Heart in concert a few years back--they still put on a great show. Ann's still got the pipes!

That's great that you got to see them perform live! I remember Heart performed in my area back around 1982 - in fact, I still have an old cassette I taped off the radio back then that has one of the concert promos on it! I didn't go to the concert for some reason, and now I regret it.
