Good Afternoon Dawn:) I didn't have this album back in the 70's although I did buy the 45's back in '76 of Silly Love Songs and Let Em In' .This was the first Wings album where everybody in the band took their turn singing lead on a track. I've always loved Paul's bass playing and his work on "Silly" is awesome. I first heard Time To Hide on Wings Over America ( both my cousin and brother had the album in the 70's. I picked up a sealed copy of Wings at The Speed of Sound a couple of years ago Faves: Beware My Love , Silly Love Songs , Let Em In and Time To Hide.

Rather bland album cover (gets your attention!), but some good tunes! Not my fave Wings album, but it can't be knocked. Only played the 2 hits while DJ'ing in college; hardly any of the others were played.

I never had this album growing up, but I did have the 45's of Let 'Em In, and Silly Love Songs. I don't think I know any of the other songs on the album.

I'm not that familiar with this album. I know the hits, but little else. Silly Love Songs is one of my favorite by Sir Paul.

I remember I bought this album about 10 years ago primarily for 'Silly Love Songs' and 'Let 'Em In', which I've loved since '76, but I was really impressed with some of the other tracks. You're right, Paul's bass work on 'Silly' is superb. 'Beware My Love' is another outstanding track - I think that one could have done very well as a single also.

This album isn't quite on a par with Band on the Run or Venus and Mars, but it's still very good overall. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard any of the tracks other than the two hits on the radio, even on the AOR stations.

I remember I loved those two songs so much back in 1976! Listening to them always takes me back to that summer. I had never really thought about it until today, but considering Paul's popularity back in the mid 70's, it's surprising that there were only two single releases from this album. As I mentioned to Ken, I think 'Beware My Love' would have been very successful as a single. Next to the two hits, it's probably my favorite track on the album.

You know, I know NOTHING on this album but the two hits! LOL!
Maybe someday I'll pick it up on vinyl.
Those 2 singles are of course, legendary.
Dawn, would you rank this a notch below Venus and Mars?

Yes, that would be pretty much how I'd rank it. Overall, it's not quite as good as Venus and Mars, but it's better than most of his other solo albums. In terms of letter grades, I'd give Band on the Run an A+, Venus and Mars an A, and this album and Red Rose Speedway a B+.

All in all, a weak album. But aside from the two hits, "Beware My Love" and the two Denny Laine songs (The Note You Never Wrote, Time To Hide) were always great to hear. Some of the others, though, YEEECH!
And, of course Sally G is a great addition!

I'm not familiar with that song, but I've always heard it's great!
