Ok, can I just say, I NEVER owned this album? LOL!! My dad did, and all the time I lived with him, I never listened to it! LOL!
Of course, I always knew the three hits.
But for whatever reason, I was inspired to get a compilation of his, and there are some great tracks! And you know, I never looked back at this album since I got it, but some of my faves are on here! It's a Plain Shame, All I Want to Be (Is By Your Side), I Wanna Go to the Sun, (I'll Give) You Money, and Humble Pie's Shine On.
So if he does them half as good live as he did in the studio, I may have to pick up the Deluxe Edition of this disc!

A Great live album. Very few live albums live up to their studio counterparts, but this one does. I remember the only way to play this album was loud, very loud. Unfortunately for Peter, was just never able to follow this album up. Too bad, he was a really good singer. Favorites: Something's Happening, Show Me the Way, It's a Plain Shame, Wind of Change, Baby I Love Your Way, Shine On, Jumping Jack Flash, Lines on my Face, Do You Feel Like I Do.

One of the daughter's that lived next door to me growing up had "Comes Alive" and played it lots - that's where I first heard it . I also remember hearing Show Me The Way on the radio as well.Just a GREAT album all around. I had a vinyl copy that I picked up a few years ago at a Garage Sale for less than a dollar!
And just recently (a few months ago) I purchased the "Deluxe Edition" on CD. I think some people forget just how fine a guitar player he really is. Faves : Something's Happening , Show Me The Way , Shine On , All I Want to Be (Is By Your Side) , Doobie Wah , (I'll Give) You Money , It's a Plain Shame and Baby I Love Your Way.

With Cheap Trick's Budakon, the best live album ever. Although Frampton's had lots of studio albums, many have only this one of his in their collections--10 million strong! In addition to the 3 hits ("Feel"-what a powerful 15 minute anthem!), also really like "Plain Shame", "Doobie Wah", "Jumping Jack Flash", and "All I want to be is by your side". BRAVO! Wished I was in those audiences! That talking guitar is solid!

I never had this album growing up, but I heard the singles on the radio constantly back then, and got kinda tired of them. And him. LOL! I guess I was just never "into" Frampton. He never did much for me. Oh well..

His guitar playing is superb, and as you say, there are some really good tracks. I was glad to see that he included 'Shine On' - I've always liked his version with Humble Pie as well.

This was definitely a shining moment for Peter - everything came together so well on this album. I agree, it's a shame he couldn't recapture the success of this album with his later material. He did release some fine singles in the late 70's, though, especially 'I Can't Stand It No More'. Great song!

I agree, his talent as a guitarist seems to be underappreciated these days. He is definitely one of the finest guitar players of his time.

I would have liked to have been in the audience as well - it sounds like it would have been a blast!
