Again, I'm not a big Segar fan, but this is a classic for him, with 6 of the 10 tracks getting play around here. At one time I would have said 4, but Betty Lou and Horizontal started getting play in recent years.
HATE Her Strut!!!!!
My fave on this particular album would probably be the title cut.

Not an artist I'm really big on, but I like a couple of his songs. "Fire Lake" is one of them.

Hey Dawn:) I recieved this album as a Christmas gift sometime in the early 80's . I remember my brother had the 45 of Fire Lake back when it came out . My Classic Rock station at least currently seems to be playing more tracks from Night Moves then this one . I've always enjoyed it even though it's been awhile since I've gave it a spin . Faves: Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight , You'll Accomp'ny Me , Horizontal Bop , Long Twin Silver Line , Against The Wind and Fire Lake.

I've noticed that 'Betty Lou' and 'Horizontal Bop' are starting to get more and more airplay where I live also! That's also true of some of the cuts from his other albums, such as 'Come to Poppa'. Until this past year or so, I had very seldom heard that song on the radio. 'Against the Wind' is a classic track - one of his best!

Like you, I probably still hear the cuts from Night Moves (and Stranger in Town) more often on the classic rock stations than I do the ones from this album, but as I mentioned to Sat above, some of the cuts seem to be starting to get more airplay. 'Betty Lou' is a great track!

Easily my fave album of Bob's, should be in my top 500 albums. Especially LOVE "Fire Lake" and "Horizontal Bop"! "Against the Wind" (the song) is SOOOOO timeless, and "Accomp'ny Me"'s nice. Also really get into "Her strut" and "Betty Lou".
Another winner!

I love Bob Seger. He's one of my favorite male artists. Used to play this album all the time--it's a great one! Just heard "Her Strut" on the radio in the car today, and just had to crank it up to eleven! LOL!

Actually, the only Seger album I have is the live one, but Against The Wind is a song I've always liked.

Hi Dawn
Another winner. Maybe not as well known as other albums, but just as good. Was initially drawn to this album by the Against the Wind and You'll Accompany Me. However, the more I listened, the more I realized how many good songs are on this album. Classic Segar. Favorites: Fire Lake, You'll Accompany Me, Against the Wind, Betty Lou's Gettin' out Tonight, Horizonal Bop, Her Strut, No Man's Land, Long Twin Silver Line.

'Fire Lake' has always been one of my favorite Bob Seger songs, and I agree, 'Against the Wind' has a timeless quality that still sounds just as great today as it did 23 years ago!

My mom has always been a huge Bob Seger fan, and I remember listening to this album and Stranger in Town often when I was younger. I've really grown to love his music more and more as I've gotten older. Great songs!

For some reason, this album doesn't seem to be as well remembered as his other albums, although it was very successful at the time. It's a very solid album, with many classic tracks.
