You know what, I borrowed this album once, and I just could NOT get into it! Of course, I knew and liked the two popular tracks, Back in the Saddle and Last Child. But I had always heard it was a legendary album so I wanted to hear it. Guess I'll have to try it again sometime.
But then again, I was never a HUGE Aerosmith fan. Just certain songs stand out. And Back in the Saddle is one! Love the "gun slinger" type opening!

I remember hearing this at a friends house back then . His sister had a copy . At first I wasn't that impressed . Toys in The Attic I think is a stronger album. But over the years songs like Back in The Saddle and Last Child have grown on me from listening to their Greatest Hits album . I'm really not familiar with too much else from it.

Have this one on cassette somewhere. As KenFrank pointed, Toys in the Attic was a much stronger album. This one's good, and Back in the Saddle is a great song, just not a favorite. Favorites: Back in the Saddle, Last Child, Rat's in the Cellar, Get the Lead Out.

I bought this album back in 1986 mainly for the singles, but ended up liking some of the album tracks also. 'Back in the Saddle' is great, one of my favorites of theirs!

There are some good album tracks, such as 'Lick and a Promise', but 'Last Child' and 'Back in the Saddle' are the two best songs on it, IMO.

Good album, for the most part. I agree! Although, when it comes to Aerosmith, I tend to prefer their better-known songs. Their Greatest Hits is my favorite album of theirs.

'Get the Lead Out' is another good album cut!

I've only recently become somewhat of an Aerosmith fan ("recently" meaning the last 10 years or so. lol), so I didn't have this album when it was popular. I guess I only know the singles from this one, but they're really good. Someday I'll have to check out the rest of this album.

I remember a friend recommended this album back then. As I mentioned to beatles4ever, I still tend to prefer their singles, but there are several very good album cuts too.
