Woo Hoo! a bit of Canadian content today on "the click" . This is one of my favorites of BTO's albums. My brother had the 8 track when I was growing up and my vinyl copy was handed down to me from my sister in law quite a few years ago.I also bought the 45's of Roll on Down The Highway and You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet when I was little.
The guitar playing throughout the album especially on Free Wheelin' is exceptional. Love Robbie's drumming and great slide guitar on Blue Moanin . I remember hearing Sledgehammer for the first time wow it blew me away LOL .
Faves - Not Fragile , Blue Moanin' , Roll on Down the Highway , Sledgehammer , You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet , Rock is My Life ,and This is my Song and Givin' It All Away

I forgot to tell you Dawn, dodge sent me a PM that he would be away for a week or so! I'm sure he'll be happy to see this when he gets back.
Well of course I know Roll On Down the Highway and You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet. A little tired of both, but much better than Takin' Care of Business. SO sick of that one!
I think a few more of these are on the Greatest Hits, I should check em out.

I remember hearing both 'You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet' and 'Roll On Down the Highway' often back in the day, and they've always been favorites of mine. I don't have this album myself yet, but I'd like to get it one of these days.

I like 'Takin' Care of Business', but it's probably one of my least favorites of the better-known cuts, mainly because it's been played so much over the years.

Hi Dawn -
Not Fragile was BTOs best. So many great, no-nonsense songs. Also has their only #1 song on it (You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet). Got on vinyl and it has a few snap, crackle,& pops on it, but that's okay, it was a much played album. Never get tired of it. Favorites: Roll On Down the Highway, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet, Rock is My Life, Not Fragile, Giving it all the Way, Sledgehammer.

There's something kind of appealing about those pops in old vinyl records, actually - you know you're listening to a well-loved favorite. BTO had a great sound - I wish they'd stayed together longer than they did.
