Finally getting around to this! I don't know, the name seems KINDOF familiar, but if I saw it at all it was just in passing in a book. I would never claim to know this group. Looking at the album cover, I woulda figured them to be more psychedelic and less like The Association. I know EVERYONE got psychedelic at the time, but this seems like it would be a heavier one. You mentioned the one song still gets play today. Do more of their songs get play there since they are from Boston? Because it's just like me knowing more than the average person by the Buckinghams, Ides of March and New Colony Six because they are from Chicago. Sounds like their album quality is similar to Love and Moby Grape in that they had one classic album, and then a few other albums than ranged in quality. I definately want to check them out (haven't gone to the link yet). Your reviews always make me interested in albums-you could make me interested in Michael Bolton Sings the Hits of Elvis! (Well, maybe not....) Honestly, it was 2 things that re-ignited my interest in this group and encouraged me to do this review: One, they reunited last summer, and two, your CD of local Chicago stuff. They had SOME psychedelic moments, like the ending of "Never In My Life", but they were mellow for the most part. Judging by your tastes, I think the fourth album would be the one you'd like, because it has more of a "rock" edge to some of the songs. PM me if you're interested, I sent Dawn copies and she loved them!
