First off, I'm going to "pull an Adam" and point out that I have a (somewhat) new Bottom 20 pick posted.. ;D

Some excellent finds, Pete. Very cool that you were able to come across the Dan Hartman CD. From what I understand, it was in print for only a short time, and is very hard to find these days. I Can Dream About You and We Are the Young were included on Dan's greatest hits collection, but they left off Second Nature for some reason in favor of several lesser-known tracks. The Jackson Browne Very Best of is a really good compilation, much better than his older greatest hits set.

Ha! Look at Pete pulling an Adam on us! The nerve of....HEYWAITAMINUTE!! (If I didn't do that, I don't think people would see my posts beyond the tourneys. : VH-You are SO right about the old VH CD's being crappy! What horrible sound! I think the only one of the original six that I have remastered is 1984. I & II are the old ones and the middle three I have not gotten on disc. Zep-I guess some Zep fans would roll their eyes that I've had Coda for years yet have never owned the debut on disc! I'm not as much in the bluesy stuff, and by now I've gotten what I wanted from it. But Coda has such great stuff like Wearing and Tearing, Darlene, and the GREAT We're Gonna Groove. Journey-I know I kinda turned you on to this one, but I have to restate again-WHATAGREATALBUM!! The ZZ set I was actually looking at on the online library set last week! I WILL be requesting that down the line. I'd like to get the Jackson Browne set too. A big part of the reason I'm waiting to request the ZZ set (and maybe the Moodies too!) is that it becomes too much music at once! LOL! How will you listen to all these CD's before you have to return them? I'm assuming you don't know every single song already?

How will you listen to all these CD's before you have to return them? I'm assuming you don't know every single song already? Well, I wasn't trying to be an asshole. I was just a bit ticked that after almost 48 hours, only Ed had responded to my "Bottom 20" post. While I'm grateful that Ed responded, when I get only one response I feel slighted, like "Why do I bother?" I've noticed that things have been a bit slow here lately, That's what I meant in my contender post last week when I said "I'm TRYING to do my part." But I know you go through the exact same thing.. Come on, People!!! Van Halen-Yes, the remasters sound SO much better!! Glad I could get them all (except Fair Warning) through the system. Mostly I've been upgrading with remastered versions wherever possible, and have had pretty good luck. Like Ed says, if you buy it once, you shouldn't have to buy it again (well, sometimes I do, but only if I can find it used or cheap, I refuse to pay more for $10 for a CD!) The ZZ Top set is really good, but I would've gotten rid of the last 3 tracks on disc 2, moved the Deguello tracks to disc 2 and had the first disc be all the London stuff (with a couple extra tracks like "Precious & Grace" and "Backdoor Love Affair"). I've never really cared much for Jackson Browne, I find him kind of boring. But I mostly got the set for the hits, Something I wouldn't have bought. I usually rip the discs to my hard drive (or make copies) and return them the next day. That's how I get so many so quickly. I get into them whenever the mood hits me. Since I have an hour commute now, I get to listen to a lot of stuff, and the library is right on my way home!

I was just jokingly acting mad, like you called me out for doing a cheap plug! When I got into a discussion on Martina's site about the downloading of songs, people were saying it's apparently "ok" to download a song you already had purchased on LP, cassette or a non working CD. Yeah, even the review for the ZZ set said the that the dance mixes were unncessary. Well that's how I am about Jackson too (I like a select few) which is why I'd like to borrow rather than purchase. So you put em on an iPod to listen to on the commute?

No That Girl Could Sing?? Agreed - I was disappointed that was left off as well. It's strange that it keeps being omitted from these collections, when it was a bigger hit than, say, Tender is the Night, which was included on both.

Chicago Transit Authority - I found this at the used CD place a few months ago. Great album, had to have it. ZZ Top - Not sure I need this anymore since I got Chrome, Smoke, & BBq last year for my birthday. Jackson Browne - Another purchase from the used CD place, about a year ago. Elton John - Would love get Madman Across the Water, it's my favorite Elton album. Honky Chateau would be good to have as well. Both would be upgrades from vinyl. The Moody Blues, Kiss, Dan Hartman CDs would be great to have as well.
