...at our library booksale. The first two New Christy Minstrels albums, Roger Miller's Greatest Hits (from about 1966), Chet Atkins (from about 1967), the Irish Rovers (before "The Unicorn")
But the most interesting LP is a double-disc Myron Floren LP (the accordionist from Lawrence Welk). "Songs of Inspiration". In the liner notes it lists the member of the backup chorus, and one of the bass singers is Thurl Ravenscroft! (voice of Tony the Tiger).

Some cool finds, Mike. Which Chet Atkins album did you get? Mark came across a couple of his albums a few years ago, and I think they date from around that time. That's interesting about Thurl Ravenscroft on the Myron Floren LP!

Howdy Dawn! The Chet Atkins LP is "Mr Guitar", and actually it's from 1959. Has songs like "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" and the Rachmaninoff "Concerto in C Minor" on it.

Were these all in decent shape, Mike? They're not really my style, but if you found copies in good condition, that's very cool!

I don't have a record player now, so I collect, waiting til I do have one again. I did check them carefully. They were all opened, but have the inner sleeves, and no scratches,or even noticeable dirt. Someone took good care of them.
