I miss the days of the really cool music videos.Like Seeds of Love,Sledghammer and Money for Nothing.Seems like they just aren't as fun as they used to be.

While I am tired of Sledgehammer and Money For Nothing, I do admit, they were inventive for their time!
Now all pop videos are some tramp doing dance moves Janet Jackson did 15 years ago!
BTW-Sowing the Seeds of Love is a GREAT tune!

Years ago there was a show called Classic MTV. John Norris was the host. I used to set the VCR to record it while I was at work. I have loads of 80s videos on tape somewhere!! I have a tendency not to label my tapes.

I've got a couple tapes with 80s videos on them - it's sooooooo cool to watch once in awhile! New videos just have no creativity to them. Back then, artists had to use their imagination when creating videos. I'd love MTV to add a Classic show again - a couple hours long, on the weekends or something and show stuff like Headbangers Ball, Friday Night Video Fights, old commercials and personalities, and the original VJs.

Leese, do you get VH-1 Classic by you? THAT is the station to watch! It isn't just the typical "Mickey" "Come on Eileen" that you see all the time. I can't TELL you the number of old videos I have caught on tape!

I agree - there were some really wonderful videos made back in the 80's. Nowadays, it's as Lisa said - there's just no creativity there. I absolutely LOVE Sowing the Seeds of Love!! That song is fantastic!

I was just talking about that with my husband. There's no creativity in todays music videos. In my opinion, the 80's opened the door to this next decades videos because it was when the music videos were made and MTV was the one who started all that crazyness. I can still remember the very first MTV videos shown like Take on Me( I believe that was the song name) and Sledgehammer and the Rick Springfield videos. I really miss that kind of music videos. Kids this days will see them as ridiculus because is a different decade, but what they won't understand is that those so called by them ridiculous videos were the mothers and the fathers of their generation videos. God bless the eighties.

Again, welcome. How could I forget about you? Of course I remember you, Sat. How is Megsmom? Thanks for the welcoming and I like it here already. I am a big 80's fan and I had forgotten things from the eighties that I know you guys will help me remember. If I hear about them, I'll remember them. I guess is an age thing, LOL.

She always called you brother. Isn't she your sister? LOL-That's what we had SO many people believing! It wasn't even a "trick" or anything like that. No, just over the course of the year on YL, we became like best friends, sharing stories about our daughters (who are close in age) and our spouses, homelife, etc. Plus, we actually LOOK like we could be twins! So over time, we got to calling each other brother and sister.
