Well, I TRY to like it........ I don't know, it just seems so LIFELESS... Almost like the band didn't want to be bothered anymore. I guess I like it because Jimmy was so F'd up and JPJ really picked up for him. It's the only album where a song doesn't have a Page writing credit on one of the songs! (aside from covers of course)

Oh man, if you liked that Collective Soul disc, you're gonna LOVE the rest! That is actually my least fave. May I recommend your next one? Disciplined Breakdown. SUCH a great album! And the first five songs on that Foos album are killer! I've seen Disciplined Breakdown at the used CD joint, so I pick it up next time I'm there. That was a killer Foo Fighter CD. Unfortunately, I'm having to retrieve that CD from son whenever I need to listen to it. As a matter of fact, I retrieve most of my classic rock CDs from my son, almost daily. Go figure, two people 30 years difference in age, and sharing the same musical tastes.

Alison Krauss & Union Station-I don't really listen to country that much, so I can't comment on this one.
Lenny Kravitz-GENIUS! (At least in my opinion). "It Ain't Over Til' It's Over", "Are You Gonna Go My Way", "Always On The Run", "Fly Away", "Again", "Dig In"...All great hits!
Patti Labelle/Labelle- I like her version of "Lady Marmalade" better than that Aguilera/Pink/Mya crap, but she seemed to me like more of an artist that Oprah would listen to.
Cyndi Lauper-She was just so cool, and she had the guts to release the song "She Bop", considering the subject matter. I enjoyed the songs "All Through The Night", "True Colours", "Time After Time" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".
Led Zeppelin-Oh yes...weren't they the ones that had that prom song "Stairway To Heaven"? They were all right...but I didn't really listen to them that much.

So give it a few listens! Ended up being my fave! LOL about your son borrowing the disc! Hey, my dad and I go 25 years difference, and we both dig Elvis, Beatles, Buffalo Springfield, Steely Dan, Beach Boys, etc.

Hey, Alison was on Wheel of Fortune during Country week!! (Swear to God!) But that "subject matter" was already broken with the Who's Pictures of Lily and Bruce's Blinded By the Light!
