Jerry Lee Lewis--Anymore, probably better known for his antics than for his music. LOL! Nah--he'll be remembered for his great piano playing, I'm sure. I don't know too much by him--only the biggies, I guess. Faves: Great Balls of Fire; Breathless; Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On Gordon Lightfoot--I always thought he had a nice voice--don't know his music very well, though. But I REALLY don't like The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Faves: Sundown, Carefree Highway, If You Could Read My Mind Lisa Lisa/Cult Jam--No thanks. I suppose All Cried Out is ok. I'll pass on everything else. Little Anthony/Imperials--Don't know them well. I'm sure he's/they're quite talented, but I've never paid much attention to anything they've sung. LOL! Little Feat--I first discovered them when Linda Ronstadt covered a couple of their tunes. Then my brother let me borrow an album of theirs, and I thought if was good stuff! RIP Lowell George. Faves: Willin'; Dixie Chicken; Let it Roll; Feats Don't Fail Me Now; All That You Dream ANYMORE, I still like reading your responses!

1) Jerry Lee - I dig him. The original badboy. That whole marrying your cousin thing, however, was icky. 2) Gordon Lightfoot - I can't get into him. I give him props as a talented songwriter, but like Cat Stevens, and Harry Chapin (with the exception of the Taxi song) he's just a little to folky for me. 3) Lisa Lisa - I was in middle school when this was popular, and a rabid roller skater, so I gotta say I love it. Head to toe, and Lost In Emotion are such great fun songs. I got way sick of All Cried out, though. Too many young girls dedicating the song to their boyfriend of the week. (Geez, Sat - smashing my groups today - I will admit that DeBarge reeked, but The Jets were another of my favorites!) 4) Little Anthony - Again, props for being talented, but I never could get in to Doo-Wop. My mom loves it. 5) Little Feat - Not my style. LOL! Well if I knew you liked em, I wouldn't have been so rough on them!

Jerry Lee Lewis - A legend and an original rebel, more well known for the wedding than his music. No doubting his ability on the keboards. Favorites: Whole Lotta of Shaking, Great Balls of Fire, Breathless
Gordon Lightfoot - Another legend, one of Canada's best. A great singer/songerwriter, and one of the best storytellers. Never get tired of his music. Favorites: Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, If I Could Read Your Mind, Sundown, Carefree Highway
Lisa Lisa & the Cult Jam - Know they were around in the mid 80s, know little else
Little Anthony & the Imperials - A real nice doo-wop/R&B/Pop group. Did some decent stuff. Favorites: Shimmy Shimmy Ko-Ko-Bop and Going Out of My Head
Little Feat - Had a real good friend introduce this group to me with Six Feet of Snow and had another real good friend give me two albums (Down on the Farm & Time Loves a Hero). Both albums are just great. Little Feat is kind of lost between a blues band and country rock or southern rock. They remain one of the great unhearlded bands who crank out the albums with little commerical success. But the music was really, really good. For those who are unfamiliar with there music, I would recommend their Shake Me Up CD, released in 1991. Bought it because it was Little Feat and it's just an awesome CD. Loaded with some good tunes. My favorite group of the day. Favorites: Six Feet of Snow, Down on the Farm, Dixie Chicken, Willin', Straight From the Heart, Time Loves a Hero, Old Folks Boogie, Missin' You, Spider's Blues, Shake Me Up, Things Happen, Mojo Haiku, Boom Box Car, Livin' on Dreams. Last six songs from the Shake Me Up CD.

Jerry Lee Lewis - I consider him a fair musician. Maybe if he had had more hits I would like him more. I think it's funny the way people made such a big deal out of him marrying his cousin, though.
Gordon Lightfoot - Heard of him, but not very familiar with his music.
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with Full Force - I think the music is cute, but I wouldn't want to own a greatest hits or anything like that. Blah. Fave- Head to Toe
Little Anthony and the Imperials - Never heard of 'em.
Little Feat - Not familiar with their music.

[shadow=blue,left,300]Jerry Lee Lewis-I liked him better than that teleSCAMalist, Jimmy Swaggart. Seriously, although his hits might not necessarily be timeless, they are classics. My favourite is "Great Balls Of Fire".
Gordon Lightfoot-"Sundown" was a kick-ass song!!! Lightfoot definitely epitomized Canadian culture, that's for sure!
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with Full Force-I really liked the song "Head To Toe"...but that's about it, really.
Little Anthony & the Imperials-"Tears On My Pillow" was a wonderful song. I really enjoyed it a lot.
Little Feat-I've never heard of this band.[/shadow]

Sorry I couldn't get to this yesterday. Jerry Lee Lewis - Never really understood what the appeal was. I will say that he's led an interesting if sad life. No faves for me. Gordon Lightfoot - Interesting voice, great songwriter. His songs remind me of a "carefree" childhood (or should I say "every" LOL! ). Faves: Sundown, If You Could Read My Mind, Beautiful, Rainy Day People Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam et al - Cheesy? Sure, but who cares! My love for this band was reinforced recently when I watched an installment of VH-1's "I Love The 80s". I don't own anything by this band but I would definitely crank it up if it came on the radio. Oh and p.s. I lovvvvvve DeBarge too! Faves: Head To Toe, Lost In Emotion, I Wonder If I Take You Home Little Anthony - Definitely underrated but there are definitely other doo-wop groups that I like better. Fave: Tears On My Pillow Little Feat - Reminds me of highschool in kind of a bad way. Their greatest hits album was played a lot at parties back then. I guess they're still a couple of songs that I like. Faves: Dixie Chicken (although overplayed IMO), Spanish Moon, Fat Man In A Bathtub

Some great ones! Jerry Lee Lewis: Loved his music as a teen, it's so "devilishly" wonderful! Gordon Lightfoot: Just a great singer. No punches pulled whatsoever. Easy on those ears. Lisa Lisa: Ah, the 80's music I loved and don't know why. All Cried Out's beautiful. Little Anthony: Another guy that sounds like me. The Stylistics of their day; 2 of the best ballads ever. Little Feat: Only know them cause my brother likes them! BR
