Some great ones! Jerry Lee Lewis: Loved his music as a teen, it's so "devilishly" wonderful! Gordon Lightfoot: Just a great singer. No punches pulled whatsoever. Easy on those ears. Lisa Lisa: Ah, the 80's music I loved and don't know why. All Cried Out's beautiful. Little Anthony: Another guy that sounds like me. The Stylistics of their day; 2 of the best ballads ever. Little Feat: Only know them cause my brother likes them! BR Little Anthony sounds like you?

Jerry Lee Lewis - How about "Great Balls of Fire," with Dennis Quaid? I thought he did a great job portraying Jerry Lee! A ton of energy, and a man who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Pretty interesting that his cousin is Jimmy Swaggart. *lol* Faves: Great Balls of Fire, Breathless, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On
Gordon Lightfoot - He may be considered lite rock, but I definately agree that the guy is a wonderful songwriter. I also thought the song was "Every Highway" for a while there. *lol* Faves: If You Could Read My Mind, Rainy Day People
Lisa Lisa - Ok, sure they were complete bubblegum in the late 80s, but I always liked 'em. Some good memories there! Faves: Head to Toe, Lost in Emotion
Little Anthony & the Imperials - Tears On My Pillow
Little Feat - Texas Twister, Let It Roll, I'd Hate To Lose Your Lovin'

Hey, I was tired yesterday.
Jerry Lee Lewis--love his 2 biggest and don't know why. Immortal classics, his lesser hits were fine too. Faves: Great balls of fire Whole lotta shakin' goin' on Breathless High school confidential What'd I say Drinkin' wine spo-dee o-dee Chantilly Lace You win again
Gordon Lightfoot--Great artist-got his hits CD last year. My fave from these 5. I can't say enough about his wonderful guitar playing and songwriting. Faves: Sundown Carefree highway Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald Beautiful (Yup, grown to LOVE this) If you could read my mind Rainy day people The circle is small Cotton Jenny Race among the ruins Baby step back Daylight Katy Stay loose Early morning rain For lovin' me (latter 2 covered by Peter Paul & Mary)
Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam (with Full Force)-A guilty pleasure of my high school years. And I have the Columbia "Super Hits" CD! Lisa Velez was HOT! Got me dancing, all right! Faves: Lost in emotion (One of the best #1 endings ever) All cried out Head to toe I wonder if I take you home Let the beat hit 'em Little Jackie wants to be a star Everything will B fine Can you feel the beat Someone to love me for me
Little Anthony & the Imperials-it just isn't doo-wop without them. Anthony definitely stole the spotlight; what a voice! Nice selections. Faves: Goin' out of my head Tears on my pillow Shimmy shimmy ko-ko-bop Hurt so bad Take me back I'm on the outside looking in Out of sight, out of mind
Little Feat--Not too hard up on this band, but I've heard a few tunes. RIP Lowell. Faves: Dixie chicken Hate to lose your lovin' Texas twister

I'm surprised Little Feat was able to carry on all these years with such little success! Maybe saying "commercial success" was a little extreme. It was a little late last night (early in the morning) when I posted. Little Feat has obiviously had some commercial success or they would just be another band playing in their garage or at high school proms. They've managed to hang around on to the fringe, much like the Grateful Dead did in they're heyday, without a lot of airplay or top 40 success. I mean I can't really remember the last time I heard a Little Feat song on any of the classic rock stations in this area. But the first time I heard Six Feet of Snow back in 1984, I was hooked.

Jerry Lee Lewis-I can't deny therew's some great piano playin' there, but I am basically sick of all his music... Gordon Lightfoot-I like Gordon! great guitr! I used to have a "greatest hits" CD somewhere... Faves: I like the ones you've named, but I think my VERY favorite is "Beautiful" Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with Full Force-I wasn't listening to much of the "new" music in the 80s..(Amazingly, I survived. LOL!) Little Anthony & the Imperials-They showed footage from their original days when they appeared on one of the PBS Doo Wop specials, and let me tell you, Little Anthony was quite the DANCER as well! (Down into the splits and right back up! I used to LOVE to watch the guys dancing on AB do that!) He is also still quite the singer--or rather THEY ARE: It was ALL the original members of The Imperials, and they still sounded GREAT!!! Little Feat-Heard OF them "all my life", but never actually *heard* them. (*shrugs*)

Jerry Lee-well it's a little strange, no? LOL! Yeah, but it's been done before, ya know? I just thought it was funny that people chose him to go off on whenever they found this centuries-old practice being carried out again. Weren't they fairly distant cousins, too?
