I think that this contest has basically gone the way it should. I think the championship game here is between two #1 seeds. pitting the top novelty act of the 50s vs the top modern novelty act.
It's a tough vote, because we're picking the song, not the artist. With that in mind -- my vote goes to:

Darn it, I wanted "The Thing" too--that foot-stomping bit is really catchy! Oh well, the 2 songs in the championship are good too.
