Donny Osmond - I remember hearing his songs every so often - Puppy Love ,Sweet and Innocent , Go Away Little Girl) I've mentioned before that my cousin had a big crush on him in the early 70's (I think she had every issue of Tiger Beat magazine from '72 - '74) Faves - none Donny and Marie - I remember watching the TV show a few times , and hearing Marie's Paper Roses . Faves - none The Osmonds - I really liked One Bad Apple(my neighbor had the 8-track) and Down By The Lazy River( we had it on K-tel's Supergreats) both excellent tunes. I remember hearing Crazy Horses as well but not when it was a hit. probably somewhere around 74 - '75 - I'm not sure how I heard the tune . Wow The Osmonds go Heavy Metal! Faves: One Bad Apple and Down By The Lazy River Tony Orlando and Dawn - I thought that Knock Three Times was good as well and I kind of liked Candida too. (The daughter that lived next -door that had the Osmond 8-track,well she had the Candida album as well:) .Knock Three Times was also on K-tel's Today's Supergreats. I had Tie a Yellow Ribbon on K-tels - 22 Fantastic Hits - thought it was alright. Faves - Knock Three times and Candida Pablo Cruise - My oldest brother had (has) A Place in The Sun and Word's Away on vinyl .So I heard their music often.Later on I got my copy of A Place.... handed down to me from my sister - in law.I bought the 45 of Love Will Find a Way when it came out and loved Cool Love - great tune! Faves - A Place in The Sun , Can't You Hear The Music , Watcha Gonna Do , Cool Love , Love Will Find a Way and World's Away. Osmonds go heavy metal? Now I GOTTA hear that one! LOL!

WHOOOPPPEEEEEE!!! My favorite musical family of all-time represented here! Donny: I just love the emotion he pours into his remakes. The minute I first heard "Puppy love", I was so "love-crushed". I bought the single like the first day it came out, and practically wore the record out! Have pretty much all the singles and albums! Donny & Marie: What man, woman or child didn't watch "The Donny & Marie Show"? The best variety show in history! Also love the solo Marie Osmond hits like "Paper Roses"! Every duet on record was wonderful! And my 2nd favorite movie of 1978 after "Grease"? Donny and Marie starring in "Goin' Coconuts"!!! Osmonds: And I pretty much own everything 70's of this group! As much as I loved the Jackson 5 in 1970, the Osmonds practically went over the top with me in "One bad apple"! And subsequent hits were super as well! "The proud one" is actually a remake of a Frankie Valli song, circa 1966, BTW. Didn't like their 80's country hits as much, but I LOVE their 3-CD Box Set on Curb Records! Tony Orlando & Dawn: This may be your best line-up ever, Sat! The earlier 70's truly had some of the best music! Favorites--all of them, with "Knock three times" being in my top 25 of all time! Pablo Cruise: Pretty decent group, played alongside with the disco of the late 70's, even though the "Cruise" were indeed more rock than disco. Their hits, especially "Love will find a way" were great. Another request for the singing rage, Miss Patti Page! BR You were love crushed? And all this time I thought you were a guy! Sorry Brer!!

Boy oh boy - what a list. Donny Osmond - Don't like his solo stuff much at all. He was amazing as Joseph in Broadway's "...Technicolor Dreamcoat" however. He seems like a decent guy. Faves: Puppy Love (isn't this considered The Osmonds though?) Donny & Marie - I lived for their variety show as a kid. I just loved them. Faves: Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing, I'm Leaving It All Up To You, On The Shelf, Everything Good Reminds Me Of You The Osmonds - I've seen them recently (in the last 10 years) playing in Branson. Not aging well at all and they sound crappy. But back in the day they had a few songs that I love. Faves: One Bad Apple, Down By The Lazy River, Love Me For A Reason Tony O. & Dawn - Sorry Adam, we definitely covered this lovely band already but I don't mind commenting again. Great childhood memories of transistor radios in the basket of the banana seat bike and summers at the grandparents' house. Faves: Knock 3X, He Don't Love You, Say Has Anybody Seen My Gypsy Rose, What Are You Doing Sunday Pablo Cruise - another staple of the childhood soundtrack. My mom wore their albums out. Still a fave today. Fave tracks: Love Will Find A Way, Cool Love, Will You Won't You, Never Had A Love No, Puppy Love was just the Don! I thought we covered them. Blame Kathy! LOL!!

Donny Osmond: Not a fan, didn't even like his comeback singles in '89. No favorites Donny & Marie: Not a fan, no favorites Osmonds: One Bad Apple was okay I guess. No favorites Tony Orlando & Dawn: Cheesy but sometimes enjoyable music by this trio. I remember their variety show from first or second grade. Mediocre act that had some number ones by chance. Favorites = Knock Three Times, Candida Pablo Cruise: Don't really like this band either, but not intensely enough for one of my classic rants. Nor do I know anything about them..at all. Oh well...at least I only spent five minutes on this today. No favorites Sorry Boogie, maybe better today?

HELPPPPPP! I'm surrounded by Osmonds and they won't go away. Donny Osmond- To me, he was the worst thing to hit pop music, and held that title until rap came along. Yes folks, even worse than disco. A squeaky clean Pat Boone-ish type with a mop top, not a very good voice, and the ability to do a very bad cover of almost any song. Faves: Yeah, right. Donny & Marie- Too many bright shiny teeth! Blinding me! Help! A little better than Donny solo. Morning Side of the Mountain was actually decent. Country/Rock N Roll is tolerable. I'm Leaving It All Up To You is a almost as good as the original (but I didn't like the original). Osmonds- The best of the Osmonds was the brothers act. Some very good songs here. I particularly like Wild Horses. Yo-yo and One Bad Apple are pretty good also. But you have to admit, the Osmonds would never have even existed as a music act if not for the Jackson 5. The Osmonds were a pale copy in more ways than one. (Hey, Sat. How about Little Jimmy Osmond (Long Haired Lover from Liverpool.)? You left the littlest Osmond out. (No. please DON'T put him in tomorrow) Tony Orlando & Dawn- I agree that Yellow Ribbon was played to death. But I really like Candida and Knock Three Times. Actually got sick of He Don't Love You even more than Yellow Ribbon. Really like some of Tony's early '60s solo hits: Halfway to Paradise, Bless You Pablo Cruise- Only familiar with Whatcha Gonna Do and Love Will Find A way. Both good tunes. Oh no, now I'm GONNA do Little Jimmy!!

Donny Osmond - I had a huge crush on him when I was very young! (Donny, Andy Gibb, Rick Springfield - it must sound like I had crushes on everybody! LOL! ;D) Pleasant 70's pop. Favorites: Go Away Little Girl, Puppy Love, Hey Girl. Donny & Marie Osmond - I LOVED their variety show! I've always thought their voices sounded great together. Favorites: I'm Leaving It Up to You, Deep Purple, I'm a Little Bit Country. Osmonds - I picked up a few of their LPs at a secondhand record shop about 2 years ago, and I was really impressed! Although many of their better-known singles are lighter and more pop-oriented, some of their album cuts have a harder rock sound that's really good! Favorites: One Bad Apple, Down By the Lazy River, The Proud One, Crazy Horses, Yo-Yo. Tony Orlando & Dawn - I've always liked this group's music. Only a few of their songs receive much airplay these days, and that's a shame. Favorites: Mornin' Beautiful, Cupid, Knock Three Times, Look In My Eyes Pretty Woman, Say, Has Anybody Seen My Sweet Gypsy Rose. Pablo Cruise - Boy, does this group's music ever bring back memories! I have one of their albums on vinyl, but wouldn't mind getting a greatest hits compilation. Favorites: I Want You Tonight (VERY overlooked on the radio these days), Love Will Find a Way, Whatcha Gonna Do?, Don't Want to Live Without It. No rock star was safe with you around! LOL!!

Him being associated with Rosie is enough to HATE him! LOL! (J/K, I tease Kathy about the big R all the time!) What about Telma in Gimmie a Break?? Was she on there too? I never watched that show.

Yay! Adam, you're a peach! Donny Osmond--One of my "big 3" crushes from back in the day, along with David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman. Speaking of David Cassidy, you're gonna list the Partridge Family, aren't ya? ;D Anyway, I had Donny Osmond posters all over my bedroom wall, collected every magazine and article I could find on him, and bought all his albums. Even when I see him on TV today, I get a little flash of nostalgia and I'm immediately taken back to my childhood. Faves: Puppy Love, Sweet & Innocent, I Knew You When, Go Away Little Girl, Too Young, Twelfth of Never (LOVE it), Sacred Emotion, My Love is a Fire, Soldier of Love, many many more. Donny/Marie--I have fond memories of watching their variety show with my grandma while my mom and dad were out bowling in their league every week. My grandma just loved their wholesomeness, and I have to say I enjoyed watching the show through her eyes. The Osmonds--Memories, memories, memories! I can name all the brothers for you if you'd like. Donny, Jay, Wayne, Merrill, and Alan. LMAO! Jimmy was added as part of the group in later years, I think. And then there's Virl and Tom--the two older brothers. Now you know. Had all the albums, and a few posters of them up on my wall, too. I always thought they were good vocalists--love the harmonies on some of their songs, and great musicians. I suppose they're dismissed by some people as fluffy, poppy, bubble gum oriented music, but they did have some hard edged stuff through the years. Faves: One Bad Apple, Double Lovin (Haven't heard that in years--time to dig out the old albums), Yo-Yo, Down By the Lazy River, Hold Her Tight, Crazy Horses, Love Me for a Reason, Utah, And You Love Me, tons more... Tony Orlando and Dawn--I honestly don't remember talking about them in the "D's", but that was a long time ago. I remember watching their variety show, and thinking Tony was so cute! Remember the comparisons between him and Freddie Prinze? They did kinda look alike. Reallly liked most of their songs. Pleasant, harmless pop. Faves: Knock Three Times, Yellow Ribbon, Candida, Sweet Gypsy Rose, What are you Doing Sunday, Steppin' Out, He Don't Love You, Who's In the Strawberry Patch with Sally Pablo Cruise--One of my all time favorite groups. Such upbeat, pleasant songs. I used to play their albums all the time back in the day. Faves: A Place in the Sun, Whatcha Gonna Do, Atlanta June, Never Had a Love, Love Will Find a Way, Don't Wanna Live Without it, Raging Fire (LOVE IT), I Want You Tonight, Family Man, Cool Love, Part of the Game Thanks, Adam. And you're the PITS! LOL!! Kidding, of course!! Looks like you and Dawn will have to fight it out over Donny! Were any of those posters on the ceiling? LOL!!! Well don't blame yourself for not remembering, it happens when you get old.

The whole Osmand deal: I liked the tv show because it was done by the Kroffts. As for anything else, I'm really not a fan. Tony Orlando and Dawn: Again, I liked the tv show. Passable songs: Candida, He Don't Love You Pablo Cruise: I know nothing about them, but I do like Go To Rio, and Whatcha Gonna Do. Well, you know you like those songs, so that's good enough! LOL!

Anyway, favorites, Candida, Knock Three Times, Tie a Yellow Ribbon. Pablo Cruise - Love will Find a Way is the only song I know. I'm sure you'd know Whatcha Gonna Do? if you heard it!

Well don't blame yourself for not remembering, it happens when you get old. LOL at your pits comment. And ya BETTER be kidding! ;D Well, maybe Dawn will let me have Donny if I let her keep Rick. No posters on the ceiling. And I didn't have any lifesize standups either. Although that woulda been nice! Hey--I resemble that remark!
