OK, one day late, but I couldn't miss Pink Floyd!!
Peter Paul & Mary-I have the best of on tape. Not something I listen to often, but at least I have all the hits. I'd rather hear The Kingston Trio, though.
Pet Shop Boys-I like them, not as much as other groups of the genre, but they had some good hits. I have the singles collection on CD, it has all I need by them for the club.
Tom Petty-I have the greatest hits on CD, I actually bought it for "Mary Jane's Last Dance" and "Don't Come Around Here No More".
Wilson Picket-Legendary, but I don't own anything by him, (except his big hits on compilations).
Pink Floyd-YES!!!! I have all of ther early stuff, but nohing after Animals except for The Final Cut. Yes, you read that right, I don't own The Wall!! (had it on tape years ago, but I never bothered to upgrade) I'd much rather hear Ummagumma or Saucerful Of Secrets. Truly alternative for their time (and by that I'm talking about '67-'71), I hear their influence in groups like The Cure. But I thought that "Take It Back" sounded too much like U2.. Faves: One Of These Days, Fearless, Dogs, Crumbling Land, Childhood's End, The Narrow Way, Echoes, entire Dark Side album, Pigs, Sheep, Lucifer Sam, Arnold Layne, See Saw, Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun, Paint Box, Candy and a Currant Bun, Julia Dream, Cymbaline, Ibiza Bar, The Nile Song, Remember A Day, Summer '68, A Pillow Of Winds, See Emily Play, Stay, Free Four, Not Now John, The Post War Dream, Your Possible Pasts, Burning Bridges, Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict, Green Is The Colour, Crying Song, Corporal Clegg, The Gold It's In The..., Wots... Uh The Deal, Biding My Time, Grantchester Meadows, Jugband Blues, etc...............
