I remember buying "Got To Give It Up" at a small store in Boston back in '77, and I think I bought "I'm In You" as well that day, it probably hadn't hit the top 10 yet. But "Couldn't Get It Right" is my favorite on this list! For some reason, I missed hearing 'Got to Give It Up' back then - I think I first heard it in 1987, on a Ronco compilation LP. Great song, though. 'Couldn't Get It Right' is outstanding! I recently saw a vinyl copy of their album Gold Plated in a used record store!

These are some really fun songs today! Hard to believe but I like all ten selections listed. Some I haven't heard in a while, like Lonely Boy and Lucille. Others I hear quite frequently, like Dreams and I'm Your Boogie Man (my theme song, lol). I think the reason I like all of these so much is they remind me of a trip to the beach I took with my Dad on Memorial Day weekend in 1977. He had a tiny little Triumph TR-6 convertible and we made the 300 mile drive with the top down and the radio blaring these very hits. Music and memories are synonymous and whenever I hear one of these songs on today's chart I cannot help but remember the good times I had with my Dad that weekend. I was thinking about you as I was typing this list out! 'I'm Your Boogie Man' is an excellent song! What you said about music and memories is so true. Listening to those good old songs always makes me feel like a kid all over again. It's great to be able to revisit the past that way.

Some real good ones here,Dawn. I love the Foreigner song, Lonely Boy, Couldn't Get It Right (didn't someone post a little while ago remarking about how Climax Blues Band could have only two big hits, and how different they were?), Dreams, and Sir Duke. I like, but am not crazy about Lucille, Gonna Fly Now (overplayed), I'm You're Boogieman (sorry, Boogie), and Got To Give It Up. But--- When I Need You is one of my all time faves....a telephone can't take the place of your smile.... Thanks, H2. Yes, I think someone did post about the Climax Blues Band recently. Both of their hits are great, but very different in style! 'When I Need You' is a really pretty song. I rarely hear it these days, it seems.

I’m Your Boogie Man – KC & the Sunshine Band 2. When I Need You – Leo Sayer 1. Sir Duke – Stevie Wonder I love these songs! Definately my favorites from your list. My mom really liked 'When I Need You' back then - I can remember her playing the 45 of it often. Whenever I hear that song, it always reminds me of that summer.

The unedited version is a must, though - I love the guitar work in the bridge. LOL about 'When I Need You'.
