1910 had a string of hits in the late 60's . This peaked on the charts at # 5 and spent 11 weeks on the charts early in 1969 . This has always been a big fave of mine. I don't hear it as much on the radio as say 1,2,3, Red Light or Simon Says.

Sure do, Ken! I have the 45, but it's been ages since I've heard it on the radio. It's one of my favorite "bubblegum" hits also!

Indian Giver was a pretty good song, but your right, haven't heard it years. I think I got it on a compilation album somewhere.

Really cool tune, Ken! The first gig I ever played, we opened up with this song!

Remember it well, Ken. Good song, although I liked 1-2-3 Red Light a little more.

Ken, I just played it today and now it's stuck in my head! LOVE LOVE LOVE the Hammond organ!!! A most outstanding choice; look for this in my future "bubblegum" battles.

I've heard that one a few times--as I recall it was a pretty good song. That would certainly be considered a "politically incorrect" song title these days, though!

1910 Fruitgum Co was how Natasha Dahlink (Of YL and ML fame) and I first started "chatting" with each other: She had mentioned her fondness for their songs in her YL bio and I, naturally, just had to send a YM to her and say "Me too!" In any case, this song--and ALL the songs of the 1910 Fruitgum Co always reminds me of the good imes I had at my aunt's house in Oklahoma every summer: My cousins always had "the latest record" amd this was one of the "latest record"s they had in the summer of '69. Now I am here to tell you that I have just now been inspired to download some of these great songs and in fact I have just downloaded "1, 2, 3, Red Light", "Simon Says" AND "Indian Giver". (Of course you realize these are only temporary measures until I can get a hold of a Greatest Hits collection. ;D) Anyway, thanks for the reminder!
