If only music could sound even half as good as it did back then.
Faves:
Me and You and a Dog Named Boo
Never Can Say Goodbye
Rainy Days and Mondays
It Don’t Come Easy
Want Ads
Joy to the World

Lobo is kinda a forgotten star of the first half of the 70s. I really like many of his ballads. "-Boo" is a little different than his later songs - it's more of a lite rock sound, but pleasant, and a good story about a road trip.
Carole had always been a good writer, and it was good to have her become a recording star as well. Great song!
Jackson 5 - good song.
Donny --- Uh --- No thanks. But Roy Orbison recorded Sweet and Innocent back in the late 50s (some of the words are different and the tempo is different, but it's the same song). Orbison's version is M-U-C-H better.
Don't like Aretha's cover at all.
One of the better Carpenters songs.
I like most of Ringo's solo stuff. This is a good one.
Want Ads -- Eh. Nothing special.
Joy To The World - Love 3DN, and this is their theme song.
Not a Huge Stones fan, but this one I like listeneing to.

He had some very successful singles back then, including 3 top 10s, but most of them are seldom heard today. I've always enjoyed his music. I'd be interested in hearing Roy Orbison's version of 'Sweet and Innocent' - I hadn't realized he had recorded that song. I like most of Aretha's covers, but this song was completely wrong for her. Simon and Garfunkel's version is definitely the better of the two!
