With a Little Luck, Take a Chance on Me, It's a Heartache, Baker Street - These are the songs that bring back a LOT of memories for me, especially It's a Heartache, and Baker Street. Great songs, too! Shadow Dancing - Andy Gibb.. de-li-cious. I was watching the news that night with my parents when they announced that he had just died. Really sad. That said, I've always liked this particular song. You're The One That I Want - My aunt and uncle went to see Grease when it came out in theaters and immediately bought the album.. it's their favorite! Really like this song, and have it taped off that very album. I agree with you about Andy - I loved him and his music back in the day, and still do! Like you, I was very saddened to hear of his death at age 30 - so young. I remember going to see Grease at the theater several times that summer! What a great movie - it's still one of my favorites!

I loved to roller skate back then also! I have so many memories of great times at the roller rink! I've always liked 'Take a Chance on Me'. The more I listen to ABBA, the more I love their music! Great group! I want to get Olivia's new greatest hits CD sometime soon. I have her older Greatest Hits Vols. 1 & 2 on vinyl, but a few of her hits are missing from those albums. ABBA rules! My husband used to make fun of me. Then one day on a long car trip, I put it in the CD player. We had a bet over who got to pick the music, and I won. Part way through, he's like "This isn't so bad. I know some of these" and he's been a closet fan ever since, because he'd lose his membership in the headbanging club. I have their box set "Thank You For The Music" and "Forever Gold", a scaled down version of the box, and still have my old album that is so worn, the needle just kind of glides across it. I can't explain the fascination with them. I can just put them on, close my eyes and just get lost in that big lush sound. Once on the cartoon "The Angry Beavers" they had "the hypnotic sounds of that supergroup "BAABAA" It was sheep singing kind of like ABBA, but all they said was "Baabaabaa". Very amusing to me because I collect stuffed sheep and sheep stuff. Olivia's most recent greatest hits "Magic: The Very Best Of Olivia Newton John" is really good, and the most complete of her hits collections. The only one missing that I really like is "If Not For You". An old Bob Dylan song. I need to find it on download, and make a mix cd.....

Never fails to pull me out of a bad mood. One of mine, as well! And, I have to admit.. Grease 2 is a guilty pleasure of mine. How can you possibly resist Maxwell Caulfield?

I really think ABBA had a great sound. Their arrangements are catchy, and I love the way their voices blend together. I'd love to get that box set someday. I have ABBA Gold on cassette, and a few of their LPs from the 70's. I really like Olivia's version of 'If Not for You'. It's on her first Greatest Hits album, but I'm not sure if that album was ever released on CD or not.
