Such a great tune! This was the second ELO single to be released from the Xanadu soundtrack (I'm Alive was the first).
"All Over" peaked at #13 in 1980. I bought both 45's at the time in fact I let a buddy borrow All Over and had a hell of a time getting it back! but believe me he finally returned it! LOL .
Yet another fine tune that 's ignored by radio and was missing (along with I'm Alive) from the superb 2 disc Strange Magic Collection . Are they included on the ELO box? - Dawn , Adam , Pete ? just curious to know.

Oh yes, Ken - I sure do! I've loved this song ever since the first time I heard it back in the late summer of 1980. I also bought the 45 at that time, and over the years I've just about literally worn it out! It's my favorite song of theirs, and my favorite song from the entire 80's decade! Unfortunately, both of those songs are missing from the Afterglow box set as well. I really wish they had included them - both are excellent tracks!

I'm not sure if it's on either of the boxed sets, but I have the Xanadu soundtrack on CD. I love this song, as well as I'm Alive. I think it's a label issue that prevents it from being on ELO collections. (interesting to note: the domestic CD is on Olivia's label, MCA, yet the imported CD, which I have, is on ELO's label, Jet.)

I too snapped up the Strange Magic set, only to be disappointed. I just may have to get Xanadu, and crack out ye olde cd burner again to make a better cd!
Really wasn't fond of the movie, but it had a great soundtrack!

The title track, Don't Walk Away, and All Over the World are my favorite tracks from this really good soundtrack. It's also the only album, cassette, or CD I got that starts with the letter "X".

It's too bad they don't give this more play on the radio these days, because it's a great song! One of my favorites from ELO, and the soundtrack from Xanadu.

Yes, I remember! It's one of my favorite ELO songs. And Xanadu is very much a guilty pleasure movie for me.

I like this track and agree that it doesn't get very much airplay.
Although I never did pick up the Xanadu soundtrack, I may have to now. I forgot how many good songs were on it.
