A Woman Needs Love--Sappy and hokey. Never liked it much.
Sukiyaki--Haven't heard it for years. I remember liking it though.
Bette Davis Eyes--Oh yeah! Great song! Unique and different. Kim Carnes--liked her a lot.
Stars on 45--Have to admit I sang to this one all the time when I heard it. I have the record somewhere in my collection.

'You Make My Dreams' is a great one of theirs! I love just about all their songs up through the mid 80's.

LOL about Air Supply! I do still kinda enjoy their music, though, and this is one of their best.

I've often wondered why Kim's singing career didn't last longer. She recorded some really good songs. One of these days I'd like to pick up a greatest hits compilation.

Yes, I looked thru all the charts you posted, Dawn! Another winning list here! Just about headed to summer camp for the first time ever--EIGHT weeks! Could hardly stand it, LOL.

I was 7 1/2 and happy to finish up the 2nd grade with the meanest teacher I ever had!

10) Good song - my cousin had the 8-track
9) Love Hall and Oats - a good song
8) Wasn't overly fond of the movie, but this is a guilty pleasure (shhhh - don't tell). Maybe because my mom's side of the family emigrated here from Russia in the early 1900's. I'm only the 3rd generation born in America on that side.
7) Air Supply - great for when you just want to mellow out, or relax. One of their best.
6) Smokey is the man. I like to sing this one.
5) A fitting tribute to John Lennon from someone who knew him well. I know he was smiling somewhere when this one came out.
4) Although I appreciate the effort to get the message out about those of us from the female persuasion, it just wasn't one of my favorites.
3) No thanks. I didn't like any of the umpteen versions my mom had on 45, and didn't like it when she'd always sing it - this was no exception.
2) The song is ok, but the lyrics just confuse me.....
1) EHHH, I could really take it or leave it. The thing I really didn't like was at the end, when they'd always do their little "Stars On 45" singing plug.

Sorry to hear about that mean teacher - I've unfortunately had a few of those myself.

I've never seen the Jazz Singer, but I've heard mixed reviews of it. There were some good songs from it, though, including this one.

I completely agree with you about 'All Those Years Ago'. Like you, I think John would have been very pleased.
