I don't know why I thought of this, but I did. What do you remember most about The Wolfman? Was it The Midnight Special? American Graffiti? His radio show out of Mexico? The Guess Who song? For me it's American Graffiti: Pizza Guy: Nicky's Pizza. Wolfman Jack: Uh yeah listen, you got any more of those secret agent spy scopes? Pizza Guy: Hit Parade on the Stethascope? Wolfman Jack: No, secret agent spy scope man, that pulls in the moon and the stars and the planets, and the satellites, and the little bitty space men. Pizza Guy: You must have the wrong number, partner. Anyway, he's always been my favorite DJ. Thoughts on The Wolfman?

I can't recall exactly where I first heard of Wolfman Jack, but I remember hearing of him often during my childhood years. He definitely had a style all his own! I remember I was surprised and saddened to learn of his death.
'Clap for the Wolfman' is such a classic! He also appears in a version of 'Hit the Road Jack' by the Stampeders - I have that song on a K-tel compilation album.

I remember him mostly from the Midnight Special. Because that was the first time I ever saw him in person. I had only heard him on the radio and when the Midnight Special came on, I finally was able put a face with the voice. And he looks just like he sounds, it's was exactly how I had pictured him.

I remember him well. A great pop culture icon. I think I first knew him from The Midnight Special, and then from Clap for the Wolfman. It wasn't until later on in life that I saw American Graffiti, and enjoyed him very much in that. He was quite a guy. Did a lot for the music world!

I remember Wolfman Jack from "The Midnight Special". I also got to meet him in person at Astroworld back in 1980. He "howled" for us as we were taking off on a rollercoaster.

I'd heard OF him before American Graffiti, but I can't remember if I had HEARD him before. I know he had a national radio showat one time, and I know I heard it, but I don't know when that was. But definitely also American Graffiti and Clap for the Wolfman.

I remember hearing him on radio station XERV lonngggg before either Midnight Special OR American Graffiti!
My brother's radio was very often tuned to that station, and when he was out dating, I used to "sneak in" and listen! LOL!
