Hey Dawn. Mixed chart this time.
10. Fight the Power - definitely not one of my faves by the Isleys. I like most of their songs, but not this one particularly
9. Why Can’t We Be Friends? - Why would a group named War have a song with this title?? Not a bad song, though.
8. Someone Saved My Life Tonight - Woo hoo!! Top 100. Ono of my fave 2 or 3 by Elton. But what's with the sugar bear??
7. At Seventeen - I heard Janis being interviewed a while ago, and she mentioned that she was gay. A lot of the emotions she puts into this song (as well as Societies Child) are based on her fighting with her inner feelings and with being treated like an outcast by her peers while a teenager. Very powerful song.
6. Jive Talkin’ - Aw darn. The Bee Gees are beginning to get the disco bug.
But it is a good song, but not one of my faves by them.
5. How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) - Not a bad cover, but I prefer Marvin on this one.
4. One of These Nights - My favorite group. Fine guitar work on this one. Great song!
3. Rhinestone Cowboy - Eh. Not my fave by him.
2. Fallin’ in Love - Like this one a lot. MUCH better than Don't Pull Your Love, IMO.
1. Get Down Tonight – Don't much care for it.
