Hey Dawn! Actually a pretty good chart today (for the '80s ) 10. Theme from “Greatest American Hero” - I like this one a lot, even apart from its connection with the TV show (maybe especially apart from that connection). It's just a feel good song! 9. Jessie’s Girl - Maybe my favorite by Rick. 8. Lady (You Bring Me Up) - It's OK, but they've done better. (Can't remember if Lionel was still with them for this) 7. Who’s Crying Now - One of my favorites by them. 6. Queen of Hearts - Not bad 5. (There’s) No Gettin’ Over Me - Never cared for this one. Too bland. 4. Urgent - Not their best. 3. Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around - A good combination of talent. Good song. 2. Slow Hand - Not my fave by them 1. Endless Love - In the entire set of duets by two stars, this doesn't rank that high, IMO.

Let's see..... 10. Not bad, probably liked it more than though. 9. Your fave probably, eh Dawn? Not a bad tune. 8. Good song, not as good as Easy or Still though. 7. Great group, but not one of my faves from them. 6. Cute song. 5. Nice tune, I like it. 4. Nice rocker, with Jr. Walker on sax! 3. They best on here, hands down. What a combo! 2. Not awful, but not a fave. 1. Eh.

10. Don't think I know that one.
9. Oh, great song! One of my favorite '80s tunes.
8. Don't know it.
7. ditto
6. Heard of it, but that's it.
5. I like this one, even though I don't remember much but the chorus.
4. Definitely don't know this one.
3. Of course I love this one. I'm a big fan of Stevie's, although I think she's got better songs than this. Still like it a lot though.
2. I prefer Conway Twitty's version.
1. This is my parents' song! Listening to it sometimes disgusts me when I think of it in that respect, but all in all it's a good song.

Hi Dawn - Sep 1981, I had been back in the U.S. about 6 weeks after a 3 year tour in England. Really hadn't gotten back into the swing of American Charts yet. But I'll do my best.
10. Theme from "Greatest American Hero" - The song was probably better than the show, but I really didn't like either.
9. Jessie's Girl - Good song from Rick
8. Lady - Ok song from the Commodores
7. Who's Crying Now - Classic Journey
6. Queen of Hearts - I've heard better versions (Dave Edmunds), but this was ok.
5. No Gettin' Over You - Ronnie did much better stuff
4. Urgent - Classic Foreigner
3. Stop Draggin' My Heart Around - One of the best songs from the 80s from one of the best albums of the 80s. Wish Stevie & Tom would do another duet.
2. Slow Hand - A good song from the Pointer Sisters.
1. Endless Love - As good as Stevie & Tom were, Diana & Lionel were bad.

Not quite 8. I think this was 2nd grade, and the evil teacher.
10) Believe it or not, George isn't at home, please leave a message at the beep...... 9) Got tired of it. 8) Good beat. 7) Not bad - a bit overplayed. 6) No thanks. 5) He's ok - very talented. 4) Eh. 3) Stop draggin' my car around..... 2) It's a toss up between them and Conway. 1) No thanks.

LOL! ;D Yes, I think Lionel was still with the Commodores at this point, although it was one of his last appearances with them. The Stevie/Tom Petty pairing was great, I agree. Their voices blend well together, and this song was a perfect complement for both of their styles. It would have been nice if they'd recorded more songs together. I like 'Endless Love', but never understood why it was number one for so many weeks.

'(There's) No Gettin' Over Me' is one of my favorites from Ronnie. I've always liked it a lot, although I don't hear it much nowadays. That sax work on 'Urgent' is outstanding! Love it!

I remember my cousins and I calling up the radio station and requesting 'Jessie's Girl' back then. I still love it today! I agree with you about Stevie. Although this one is great, I'd have to give the nod to 'Stand Back' and 'Edge of Seventeen'. Conway's version of 'Slow Hand' is really good also.

Some of my family members used to good-naturedly tease me about that! ;D I've always liked Juice, and got her greatest hits on vinyl not too long ago. 'Queen of Hearts' is one of her best! 'Urgent' - Oh, me too, Ken. Along with 'Double Vision', it's my favorite Foreigner song. That sax absolutely sizzles!

I don't think I've ever heard Dave Edmunds' version of 'Queen of Hearts' - is it pretty similar to Juice's? I agree with you on all counts about Stevie and Tom. They really did sound great together. 'Slow Hand' is one of my favorites from the Pointers. I liked it back then, but it's grown on me even more in recent years.

It's true that 'Who's Crying Now' has been a little overplayed, especially back then. Still, it's a great song, and one of the best tracks from an outstanding album. I would love to see the video for 'Stop Draggin' My Car Around'. I saw 'Dare to Be Stupid' for the first time a week or two ago, and it was really good!

I would love to see the video for 'Stop Draggin' My Car Around'. I saw 'Dare to Be Stupid' for the first time a week or two ago, and it was really good! Unfortunately, there isn't one. It would have been really funny, I'm sure. Al's videos rock. He directs most of them himself. Dare To Be Stupid is a classic. Gets the whole point of the song across. Just about my favorite is Living With A Hernia - his send-up of James Brown is priceless! If you haven't, please see UHF - it's sooooo funny.
