How Do I Know This Song???

Nelson and I went to see Grindhouse back in the spring (fantastic movie - I'm disappointed that it's being released as two separate movies).

During the 2nd feature - Death Proof - I found myself singing along with a song that I just couldn't fathom that I knew.

It was "Hold Tight" by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mitch, and Tich. I'm still scratching my head over it. Perhaps my mom had the 45, or maybe it's buried deep on an old album I have somewhere.

Anyway, it's a great song. Here's a clip:

Unfortunately, going to another post I made, I will forever see one of the most gory movie scenes I have ever witnessed when I hear it..... .

I didn't think I did either, but I'm sitting there in the theatre singing along. Beats the tar out of me how I know it.

It's a cool song, though. Very peppy, and racy lyrics for it's time.

I downloaded the song yesterday. What a great tune! I had never heard it before. The only songs I knew by the guys were Zabadak and Bend It.

Me too, Ken. I own both versions of Bend It. But I've never even heard of Hold Tight.
