and Bobby Hart? This songwriting duo are well known of course for writing many of the hits for The Monkees, but they also recorded a few hits of their own in the 60's for the A&M label. This one is one of my faves, my middle brother has this 45, and I remember hearing it quite often when I was little. I was unable to find the chart position for the song - the only info I found was that it reached the "lower end of the charts." I thought it at least hit the top 40? but it didn't, so if anyone knows, please let me know. Meanwhile I found an audio sample so you can have a listen. That's a great song, Ken! I had not been familiar with this track up until now, but plan to add it to my collection. Talented songwriting team!
I checked my Whitburn, and it peaked at #53 in the spring of 1968.

You phrased that all wrong, Ken. You should have said "In 1968 Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart had a song called "Goodbye Baby". It went to #53on the Billboard charts. Do you remember that song? Aha!! That's it! Ken !! YOU are Lynn!! ;D ;D ;D ;D Actually, I remember that song quite well. It's definitely my favorite by them. I have the 45 and also put it on a No One Else Remembers CD.
