OK, I checked out the link--it's a commercial for Faygo. I've heard of Faygo soda, but I don't remember that--either as a jingle or as a song. They may not have aired that commercial here in St. Louis. I know I've heard of the soda, though...Cute jingle, although it sounds dated, even for the '70s. We can get Faygo in New York, but I'm pretty sure the jingle was limited to the Detroit area. As a kid, I thought Faygo Diet Root Beer was disgusting.

I remember Faygo soda - I used to drink that a lot when I was a teen. I really liked their "Frosh" flavor, which was a lemon-lime mix, and their "Redpop."

It aired in the Cleveland market, as did several other Faygo ads in the late 60's-early 70's, all starring the late Hal Peary, who was "The Great Guildersleeve" on radio.

An enema? More cowbell? A good five cent cigar? Love, sweet love?

BACK WHEN MY HAIR WAS SHORT, a cult classic 70s retro-pop ditty by GUNHILL ROAD, was on the first LP i ever owned...FANTASTIC by K-TEL. that terrific sampler also featured ELTON JOHN, THE SWEET, ROD STEWART, JERRY JEFF WALKER, CLIFF RICHARD, FIRST CHOICE, BILL WITHERS, THE RASPBERRIES, and a host of other rock, pop, soul, and country stars who are STILL among my favorites...

A great version of "Don't it Make You Want to Go Home." I've always loved this song. Thanks for sharing it Joe.

Great choice, Smitty. I first heard that song on a K-Tel album, and in some ways, I like it even better than Signs. It definitely should have done better on the charts than it did.

Firefall--Strange Way www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6GXZBHJlYc&feature=relatedEveryplace I've found the lyrics online, the last lines in the first verse are, "Telling me your sorrow/In the trace ends of your tears," but I've always thought it should be "tracings." So that's how I sing it. ;D

That's one of my favorite songs by Firefall; I especially love the flute solo on the album version.
