I couldn't find the lyrics online and I didn't want to try to transcribe them myself(there's a couple parts I'm not sure about), so I present to you... A video Lost Oldie! Pretty Lady--Lighthouse (#53 in 1973) www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIssdqXKMEQ(I'd like to resurrect the feature on a more regular basis, but a. they'd pretty much all be from the 70s and b. I'd probably run out within a week. )

I've been a fan on Music Mike's clips for a few months now. There are quite a few people on You Tube that have cool stuff posted. My favorites are "VinylJunkie1960" and ""MotownMaster". Check them out when you get a chance. Not as well produced as Music Mike's Flashback favorites, but very informative. Unfortunately, a couple of my other favorite posters have had their accounts suspended due to copyright infringement.

Beautiful song. Very Chicago-esque.

Hi Smitty! Great choice! Like Pete, I'm also a big fan of "Music Mike's" videos and watch them often. Pretty Lady is a huge fave of mine. I also have that Lighthouse album Music Mike showed in his introduction (called "Can You Feel It") plus I also have the Ktel compilation "Superstars" that included the tune. My Aunt gave me the album the Christmas of '74.

I absolutely love this song. Like Ken, I have it on a K-Tel album, and more recently got the Sunny Days Again: The Best of Lighthouse compilation. They had a great sound, very reminiscent of Chicago and some of the Ides of March material.

I must say that the youtube video will never win an award for innovation.

Very pretty song. Maybe a little bit dated sounding for the early '70s, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

i have PRETTY LADY on some old K-TEL album, terrific pop ditty, easy to sing along to. SUNNY DAYS, another LIGHTHOUSE classic, is even more nostalgic for me. it was on the second K-TEL compilation i ever owned, BELIEVE IN MUSIC. that one also featured hits (and near-misses) by ROD STEWART, FIVE MAN ELECTRICAL BAND, GALLERY, SLADE, THE RASPBERRIES, DR. HOOK, ARGENT, and a host of other 70s greats...
LIGHTHOUSE was CANADA's answer to CHICAGO, and a fine group at that.
i only know two other LIGHTHOUSE
