Another one I discovered through my radio aircheck collecting -- this one got quite a bit of play on WERI-FM in Rhode Island. The morning guy at the Oldies station I worked at was program director of the station at the time this song was out (1986) and he said it wasn't a big hit but he thought it sounded good so he gave it a shot. (That sort of thing doesn't happen in corporate radio today!) Sample here: www.amazon.com/Greatest-Hits-S-O-S-Band/dp/B0002KP56C (Click on "Listen To Samples")

It sounds somewhat familiar, but I don't think I'd recognize it if I heard it on the radio.
Take Your Time was more popular around here.
I see it was released in 1986, so I would have still been at the roller rink fairly regularly.
It has a decent sound.

Like Railyn, I only remember Take Your Time (and I don't remember that one so much either. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of that sound.

Hi Daniel I don't remember that one, I also only recall hearing Take Your Time (Do it Right).

Like the others, I remember Take Your Time (which I love!), but not this one. Still, that's pretty cool that your program director was willing to play it back then despite it being a deeper cut - I only wish more radio stations would do that today instead of sticking with the same old tired playlists.

I vaguely remember "The Finest". If I'm remembering correctly, it had some talking in it as well as singing, right?

Yes, it did have some talking at the beginning of the song. Honestly, the very first time I heard it I didn't like it but it grew on me after a few listens. I don't think it was a very big hit, but it got some sporadic play on the "Jammin' Oldies" station back in California.
