Just beating the Strawberry Alarm Clock (3 votes), 1967's winner, with 4 votes... Since I usually don't repeat any artists from past polls, it was hard not to put it in "Hey Jude" (The Fabs were on the 1964 poll, and won with a landslide). No contest, I chose "Green tambourine"!!!  |

This one was REAL tough. In the end I had to give consolation prizes to Otis Redding, Cream and Steppenwolf. The winners here in my opinion are The Young Rascals with "People Gotta Be Free". |

Dock of the Bay, People Got to Be Free, & Born to be Wild would be my other favorites.

Almost a tie between the Rascals, Gary Puckett, and 1910 Fruitgum Co.
But I've always LOVED bubblegum music, and the Co. needed a vote!
