The Syd Barrett era was cool, but not having Roger was kind of a letdown--but "the "Lapse" and "Bell" albums were all right.
Their 3 biggest (Moon, Wish, and Wall) can't be topped, but I will honestly have to check out Animals sometime. Also love Meddle and Ummagumma.

I'm going to go with the Syd Barrett lineup, because even though there was only one album and a few singles, it would have been interesting to see where they would have gone had Syd not "broken his brain"..

Classic lineup, although I like some of the Syd Barrett era material as well.
