We used to listen to this every year around Easter in Music class in grade school. (Yes, Catholic)
We always thought it was fun at the time.
I recently came across a video tape I had of it, and MAN it is such a great movie! Such great songs! I seriously want to get this on DVD and CD!
The night I watched it recently, I talked to Kathyb on IMs and found out she loved it to!
I think it was a great way to teach younger people about the life of Jesus!
Any other fans of the movie here?

[glow=red,2,300]I saw the movie recently too and I liked it. It's one of my favorites now. My mom got to see it onstage in San Francisco when she was younger. This last year, one of the high school bands played some songs from it at the exhibition my college band hosted, and it was one of the best shows there.
If you like Iron Chef, I heard Chairman Kaga from that show starred in a Japanese production of it.[/glow]

As you know, I love this movie, too. I saw it in the theater when it was first released, and it had a great impact on me. I had the soundtrack on vinyl, and listened to it religiously (pun intended). ;D
I have the VHS tape of it, and have watched it off and on through the years. It never ceases to impress me. One of my favorite movies ever!

What a great movie. I remember when I first saw in the theater, the one thing that impressed me was how quiet it was as everyone filed out of the theater. Powerful movie Also saw a stage production at the Universal Ampitheater in L.A.
Have the original soundtrack, broadway soundtrack, & movie soundtrack. Really love the music.

I love the movie and I love the music. CityTV here in Toronto plays that movie every Easter, and I pretty much watch it every year. "I Don't Know How To Love Him" is one of my all time favourite songs.

Definitely love this movie! My fave track is "I Don't Know How to Love Him" - very poignant performance by Yvonne Elliman. This was a terrific cast as well, directed by the great Norman Jewison.
I also like "Godspell" as I was the director's assistant for our high school production. Some great songs in that show as well.

Yes, it takes me back watching it in my church youth group. We'd always watch that or Godspell. I'm not much of fan of Godspell, JC Superstar was a much better musical.

I've seen the movie a few times and a High School production that was wonderful.
I would have to say that my favorite song is "I don't know how to love him", by Yvonne Elliman(Mary Magdalene)

I actually heard the title track on the radio the other day. I was stunned. I can't remember the last time I heard it. Cool!
