I unfortunately have not been lucky enough to go to a musical yet. I've always loved songs from musicals and love to sing myself. I don't think there is a song from an Andrew Lloyd Weber musical that I don't know the lyrics to. I'm just practising for my big break. ;D ;D I wish.

I've seen tons of them. Some IMO are great (Oklahoma, Carousel, Fiddler, Sound of Music, King and I, West Side Story, Grease). Others just were not as good as the Broadway Play. The one that comes quickly to mind here is A Chorus Line.
I haven't seen Chicago yet. I hear it's great. Saw the play, and honestly, I wan't too thrilled with that, so I don't know if I'll like the movie or not.

Well, as you can see by my post, I like Jesus Christ Superstar, if that is a musical (as opposed to Rock Opera).
Also love Grease.

I was lucky enough to see Cats live three times. I also like movie musicals, specifically old movie musicals. Among my faves are "Singing in The Rain", "The Sound of Music", "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "42nd Street".
I just couldn't get into "Moulin Rouge" no matter how many times my friend tried to get me to watch. For me, the music has to at least slightly fit the time period - "A Knight's Tale", although not strictly a musical, gave me the same problems.
As far as stage musicals go, I absolutely love Stephen Sondheim - a slightly cynical, sarcastic tone to most of his shows. I love "Into the Woods", "Sunday in The Park with George" and "A Little Night Music" are all great shows.
In high school, I was the director's assistant for our production of "Godspell", another favourite musical. I also like "Jesus Christ Superstar".
