Picked up an old album today at a thrift store--one I had never seen before: "The Chipmunks Sing the Beatles Hits".The Chipmunks are, of course, Alvin, Simon and Theodore with David Seville. It's on the Liberty label, 1964. Mono. I didn't know if it was worth much, but I bought it anyway, just as a novelty, if nothing else. The album cover is in really good shape; the record itself has a few smudges. But for 75¢, I figured what the heck?  Anyway, like I said, I had never seen this particular album before, and wanted to share my "find" with you all. I haven't listened to it yet, but those Chipmunk's voices can be a little grating. Should be interesting to hear them "singing" the Beatles classics like, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Can't Buy Me Love, and Twist and Shout, just to name a few. |

Believe it or not, I actually remember seeing this album in the stores when it was new!! Knowing me, I probably even wanted it--I mean, it had "everything": *The Chipmunks* for the child I was at the time and (Ane element of) *The Beatles* for the teenager I longed to be at the time. (And I did! After all, I was surrounded by 'em at the time. LOL!) ) |

Ok, how did I miss this one??
Anyway, I have seen this album before (although not in person-only in books).
Very cool find! How do you and Ken get so lucky finding this stuff? LOL!

Golly,I haven't even thought about that one in many years.I don't think I liked it very much but I would have bought it just for its novelty value.Lucky you!
