What Are Words For? (5/6) By Request

This one was requested by Sat quite a while ago, and I had a heck of a time tracking it down.

I've never heard it, so I can't reall comment much on it. Reading the lyrics is one thing, but sometimes it helps to hear the song to understand better (ie: the mood of the music).

So here it is:

My Opinion In A Nutshell: I'm going to have to look for a link and listen before I can decide.

Favorite Line: "Well, it's not enough to be

I think I'd have to hear the song to get the full effect of it.

Well, the reason I wanted to do this one is because I CAN'T figure out what it means! I'm hoping someone else can.

To me, it just sounds like the give and take of a relationship, but I don't know what the "We're for the dark" part means!

First I want to say that this is an awesome song , I've lost count how many times I've listened to this over the years.

I agree with Adam that Pete Ham is indeed talking about the give and take of a relationship , the ups and downs. Each working at making the relationship sucessful.

As far as the meaning of the title We're For The Dark. I think it means that both partners are equal they are "as one." I hope that makes sense LOL. BTW Pete at the time was very much in love with his girlfriend Bev Ellis.

No problem. I had a devil of a time findng it. I found it once before, but the link to the page was dead. I had to click on "cached" on Google to see it, and when I went back for it, it was gone all together.

It sounds interesting. It's one I'd have to hear before I pass any judgement, and your take is interesting.

But how does "We're for the dark" mean they are as one? LOL
