This is taken from Gene Simmons book KISS and Make Up.
This happened around 1975 or so . After a concert in Detroit the band was presented with an award and a party was thrown in their honor.
There were plenty of girls , booze and women. Gene is very proud of the fact he has never had a drink or taken drugs of any kind (which is great) but he does have a "sweet tooth'' .
Well just before leaving the party with his girl for the night - a writer for Creem magazine . He spotted a waitress with a plate of brownies, quickly eating at least six or seven of them and after about 5 minutes he says he became "Gene in Wonderland" LOL, his senses were out out control his head shrank to the size of an apple and his hands and feet ballooned in size.
He by this point was frightened and headed for a limo once inside he became very thirsty for milk and went to an all night diner. Now inside the quiet diner and still thinking his head along with his vocal chords had shrunk in size screamed a full volume " May I have a glass of milk please?" scaring the pants off the waitress and startling everyone else. He became very embarassed thinking everyone was staring at his small head.
He left the diner and was now back in the car along with his date heading to the hotel . As she helped him down the hallway to the room Gene says every step felt like he was walking through a funhouse mirror. Once they got to the door he had trouble fitting the key into the lock, with the key the size of an anvil and the keyhole no bigger than the eye of a needle . Within the next couple of hours he was fine.
