October 6, 1959 - This was the week that Bobby Darin became the youngest headliner ever in the history of Las Vegas when he opened at the famous Sands Hotel. It was a very good week for Darin. It was also today in 1959 that one of the biggest selling records of all time first hit number one on the charts. It stayed there for 9 of the next 10 weeks and became the biggest record for all of 1959, as Mack The Knife hit the top of the charts.

"It stayed there for 9 of the next 10 weeks"-does that mean it was number one and fell off and went back at some point?
