October 8, 1944 - The radio version of The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet made its debut on CBS radio. Ricky Nelson got his start singing on his parents radio show before becoming a teenage idol on the television version of the show.

Hi Jp! For the first sevral years Ozzie wouldn't allow his real sons to appear on the radio, so at first they were played by (Other) actors... Then they learned to act by doing the show. Thankfully he finally let Ricky sing! ;D Btw, I've heard both versions (The "real" sons' shows and the "phony" sons' ones) and I could never tell the difference! (LOL!)
