Happy birthday to Quincy, Jim and Walt.
Rock Around the Clock - the song that birthed the rock era! A shame Bill Haley passed away at such a young age.
I had never heard that about Gerry Marsden. 60 pounds seems like a lot for a fine, especially at the time.
I can't blame the Stones for trying to avoid the British taxes. I'm not sure what the situation is like today, but under their tax structure at the time, just about all their net receipts were probably going to the government.
