Picture of the day (3/2)

This was one of the biggest records on the chart 40 years ago today, trying to fight off the ever-growing presence of the Beatles. One of my all-time fave "girl group sound" records.

I had read in a Fred Bronson book that Diane had gone away from music, never touring, but I believe the big picture is a rather recent photo of Diane. Of course the inset is Diane in her heyday.

Very nice photo - I haven't seen too many of her. I hope I look half as good as she does when I'm her age!
