No, really that's their catchphrase! They are actually out of one of the suburbs, and they are trying to have the widest variety.
And man is it wide!
What I've heard so far-
Some Fuel tune Mother & Child Reunion- P. Simon Misunderstanding-Genesis A Little Respect-Erasure All Star-Smashmouth Ghost Inside You-Psychedelic Furs He Thinks He'll Keep Her-George Jones Where the Streets Have No Name-U2 Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye-Steam Orinco Flow (Sail Away)-Enya She Works Hard For the Money-Donna Summer Soak Up the Sun-Sheryl Crow
Now I ask you, have you ever heard variety like that??

Wow, sounds like an awesome station! I wish we had something like that around here!
By the way, He Thinks He'll Keep Her - is that the same as the Mary Chapin Carpenter song?

What a great variety! I would love it if one of the stations here adopted a similar format. Unfortunately, the playlists for most of them here seem to be getting smaller instead of larger.

That's the way music stations used to be, and some of them are coming back to that "look-what-I-found-in-the-garage' format...4-X, my hometown, Lorain, has an oldies station, WDLW-1380, that plays anything that'll fit on a turntable...when they were WLRO, back in the late 60's/early 70's, that's how they were-I get to hear some of the same songs they played then, local/regional stuff, b-sides, obscure goodies. Sadly, they're not streaming yet, and they're hard to pick up in Cleveland.

Yeah B4 ever it is a great station It USED TO BE a great station - when it first showed up there was no DJs and hardly any commercials. Now it is turning into another clone of yet another wannabe hard rock station, complete with annoying on-air personalities. Thank goodness for CDs...

Before I left California, CBS had taken a middling Spanish station and flipped it to Jack. It's the only thing I miss about California, and I'm surprised they haven't got it on a signal here. (I'm pretty turned off by their K-Rock station, and those awful car commercials one of their lackeys does on TV doesn't help, either.)

I occasionally listen to that station in the car, and they do play an interesting mix.

In L.A. it is on 93.1, the old Hit Radio KKHR. I came from Fresno, where it's on 105.9, the former rocker KKDJ that went Spanish in 1996. I don't know if they had other Jacks in CA -- I can't recall them doing one in the Bay area or Sacramento.
