...And now they're playing the Searchers' Bumble Bee! I've NEVER heard that on any oldies station before!

We've got one FM station here in Cleveland that plays oldies, WMJI, 105.7. I rarely listen to them anymore, because they play pretty much the same songs over a three month or so period, gradually adding different stuff, always hits, no b-sides or middle-of -the-album cuts, which sucks. (They're a Clear Channel outlet.) See if you can pick up WAKR/1590 out of Akron. They have a broader playlist than WMJI, and they're 60's/70's only, with no "Flashdance" or other oddities thrown in.

FREE BIRD STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN TAKIN CARE OF BUSINESS RHIANNON BARRACUDA THE LOGICAL SONG LEGS CAT SCRATCH FEVER SMOKE ON THE WATER NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN

Classic Rock burned this track out, but those horrid commercials killed Sweet Home Alabama for me. Now when I hear it I just think of bad chicken...

Classic Rock burned this track out, but those horrid commercials killed Sweet Home Alabama for me. Now when I hear it I just think of bad chicken... Yep, me too. I'm still not sure why they chose that particular song for those commercials - yes, it's "southern" sounding, but talks about an entirely different state. That's like doing Maine lobster commercials with Please Come to Boston playing in the background!
